You Can Manifest Your Goals. Don’t Give Up!

One of the hardest things to do is get moving again once good habits have been let go of. There are always those defeating thoughts that go through our minds, like, “When I get enough money I will buy some new exercise equipment and then I will get into shape.” Or maybe this excuse hits home, “I’m not feeling well today. I need an indulgent treat to get through this emotional time. I will get more healthy tomorrow, next week, next month, next year, next decade…” Meanwhile, life is passing by, time is going faster than we realize, and before we know it we feel lost. I’ve seen this a million times in others and myself. It makes no difference what the goal is, the excuse seems bigger. The only thing that has to change to make a goal a reality is to make the goal bigger and more in focus. Whatever we focus upon always comes closer to us. We see this in daily synchronicities all of the time. If our thoughts are on …

Creating Daily Rituals

A ritual is formally defined as a spiritual or religious rite that is practiced and done regularly.  We also can create habits or actions that we do consistently and regularly, as if they are religious- like. I suppose we can say “we do them religiously.” Much of the time we describe a ritual as an act or action we do daily. This can be anywhere from our skin care to our work out routine. It’s probably a good idea to squeeze some of the spiritual ritual into our daily routine as well. A well rounded life has them all; the everyday actions that are mostly habits and the more divinely inspired moments that are more deeply rooted in who we are and our existence. Daily rituals are needed for humans. Without them we are floating daily like a boat just drifting out to sea with no real direction. Rituals help give us direction, especially the deep spiritual ones. One of mine every morning is to grab my cup of coffee or tea and then sit …

Hypnosis: The Reframing and Renewing of the Mind

Do you wonder where your life is going? Let me answer that very simply. It always goes where your thoughts drive it. Read that again! Thoughts are crazy things. Sometimes we seem to manufacture them and others they are below the surface of our conscious mind. There is a huge reason why God wants us to transform our lives by the renewing of our minds. Its because our lives go where our conscious and unconscious thoughts will guide it. We are only transformed as much as we are willing to change our minds. This is both our conscious and unconscious. The unconscious mind (or subconscious) is a tricky little stinker. It always wants to drive the bus. Meaning, our lives tend to be on auto pilot until we take hold of it and make the changes we desire. Otherwise it never will change. I love hypnosis for this. Unlike what most people think, hypnosis is not an altered state, but a heightened state of awareness. This means that things become more clear and also more …

If You Want a Better Life…

DECIDE! It is not the events in your life that control it. It is the decisions you make in your life that controls it. You might not think so but its truth. You can decide to let events cause you to decline or you can decide to allow difficult events cause you to rise above. It’s not always easy. We are programmed to be a certain way by the way we grew up until now. It takes PRACTICE and AWARENESS. Practice feeding yourself the things that are good for you. We feed ourselves daily to sustain our bodies. When it comes to our bodies, garbage in, garbage out. Good stuff in then good stuff will come of it. It’s the same with feeding the mind. Garbage in, garbage out. Our lives reflect what we decide to put into it. Good stuff in then good stuff will be reflected on the outside. If you are in a grumpy bad mood or find yourself with a quick temper then it’s a sure sign you have been feeding …

Are You a Fraction of Yourself?

I would hate to be laying in that space between this life and mortal death with deep regrets over all of the things I wish I had explored in this life, but did not. Every now and then I think of this. Would I regret some of my choices or lack of choices? I wonder what I might of done or been but did not think myself worthy, or did not take the time. I even wonder more if I would have missed the boat on something special because others did not approve of what I was becoming, believing, or doing. Remember that old quote “To thine own self be true?” Have you even asked your “self” what it wants or desires right now? Or have you asked and know what it is but are afraid to pursue it? We can always look outside of ourselves at others and see the things they “are” or “do” and think, “I would love to do that!” But, is it something that truly can belong to you? Does …

Renewing the Mind Into the New Year!

When I think of renewing the mind, my sense of humor wants to see my brain all dusty and filled with cobwebs ready to be swept away. It’s not a bad visual actually. We all have old stuff in there. I sure know that I do! It usually likes to come out when I lay down to sleep at night and I’m not quite sleepy enough to drift off yet. Once I allow all that junk to come alive at night, that’s pretty much it for sleeping! Maybe if I toss and turn enough I will get the dust to come out my ears or something? I’m pretty sure that does not work. Renewing the mind is something I used to struggle with because in order to do it, I have to DO something! I don’t think I’m particularly lazy but it is so easy to talk myself out of doing something when I think there is a more appealing option in front of me. It takes work and in order for the renewal to …

Don’t Compromise the Dream!

I want to encourage you today, as someone who is once again climbing back up to where my dream is. I want to inspire you  as someone who has lost the fabric threads of her dream over and over again and yet is still willing to keep on threading. I know it hurts to lose a dream that you might have spent hours on end building upon, or maybe even decades. I have BEEN there. It is HARD to watch all of our good work being torn down one brick at a time and then feel like we are left just sitting on the rubble. In 2005 my life got kicked in the ribs when I found myself losing a long term marriage. It was a slow and agonizing process I endured. I went through a process of losing literally everything I worked hard to obtain and build, right at the moment I was beginning to really see the fruit of my labor. Just that one incident called divorce, all of my dreams came down …
