Amazing Uses for Bergamot Essential Oil

These days it seems I am always looking for ways to naturally assist my body processes, contribute to better health, and overall ease in life. One very essential item I found I can not do without is Bergamot Essential Oil. This oil is extracted from a tree through cold pressing and has a delightful citrus type smell with maybe some spicy elements to it as well. I first was attracted to Bergamot because it helps with depression and anxiety. Bergamot essential oil will stimulate production of serotonin and dopamine in the brain which are essential neurotransmitters we need. Without maintaining them we become depressed and also anxious. Whereas antidepressants work in order to maintain levels of serotonin and dopamine, Bergamot actually stimulates their production. All that is needed is to open the cap of the bottle and take a deep breath! Or it can be lightly defused into the air. Bergamot can be added to tea in order to drink it. It can be combined with black tea or any herbal tea. In fact Earl …

Benefits of Castor Oil! Did you know…?

In my quest to find the most natural ways of healing and good health, I stumbled upon the benefits of castor oil. Castor oil comes from an extraction of the beans of a plant, or Ricinus communes, otherwise also referred to as Palma Christi (the palm of Christ). Castor oil was highlighted for its healing properties by the late Edgar Cayce. Edgar Cayce was fondly referred to as “the sleeping prophet”. Once used by the ancient Egyptians for its healing properties, castor oil has shown it can be of benefit for many other reasons as well. Here is a quick list of the benefits of castor oil. (Then I will give you my experience)! Natural anti-inflammatory – arthritis and puffiness around the eyes, swelling. If taken internally, remember it is a powerful laxative! Castor oil packs can be used for painful joints and arthritis. Natural anti-fungal – dental use to remove candida build up around tooth roots that cause infection and decay, and also for candida build up in the stomach Good for hair and scalp. …

Meditation for Lower Blood Pressure

This is no kidding! If you want to help lower your blood pressure then learn meditation techniques. It has been found those who practice meditation on a regular basis can lower their blood pressure and even lower the amount of medication they take. This interesting study was written in an article by Allison Aubrey, a correspondent for NPR news, called, “To Lower Blood Pressure Open Up and Say ‘OM’.” In Aubrey’s article she cited a study on meditation and the effects on those with high blood pressure and on medication. She wrote, “It helps increase the formation of a compound called nitric oxide, which causes blood vessels to open up. This, in turn, lowers blood pressure” (web). Using meditation for health purposes whether emotional or physical has nothing to do with religion or faith unless those things are incorporated by those who are involved in the practice. There are many videos, audios, and suggestions on the web. I have personally found that meditation helps me focus better and helps my discernment and intuition. I find …

Do You Have Anxiety, Panic Attacks, or Stress? Breathe On….(Two Videos)

I can’t believe myself at times when I check my body and realize I have held my breath or have forgotten to breathe completely. Stress, anxiety, and just plain life, can cause us to shallow breathe. It is so important for us to breathe correctly for vitality, ease in life, and regulation of our bodies organs, especially the heart. In these two videos I talk about belly breathing and also what is called Ujjayi breathing. Both help open up the throat space, bring ease and tranquility to the mind, soul and body. In the book of Genesis God breathed His breath into Adam and life began. Breath is life! Bring life to your body, senses, and organs by breathing correctly! Enjoy!   Loving you from here, Dr. Jenine Marie Howry, PhD Jenine Marie Coaching and Ministries LLC 832-484-8306

Have You Ever Tried Mindful Eating?

Have you ever noticed that in America we eat like we are in some sort of marathon eating event? I sure have. It’s like the eating race began years ago and it slowly programmed us into always being in a rush. “Let’s grab a quick bite to eat,” we say, as we run off to gulp our next meal, barely talking to one another. Take being in a restaurant for instance. It’s like the rules have changed. We are rushed in, brought our food, asked about 100 times if we need anything else, and then as we drink our after lunch cup of coffee the bill is being stuffed under our noses. Let’s analyze this for a moment. We go into a place to eat and we PAY for the table, the food, and the service. Part of going out is the fellowship and the ambiance of being out in a place where food is prepared for us. Somehow the restaurants have taken over how fast we have to eat and be done. We are …

Are You Living Outside of Yourself?

Do you find yourself continually affected by other people’s actions, attitudes, or things that happen to you? If you are, then you are not alone. We all tend to do this and for some reason make our lives harder than it has to be. Have you ever noticed if you walk into a room filled with people in a bad mood your mood tends to change to align with theirs? Or maybe your relationship partner will get to you by their actions or personality now and then. We all do affect one another’s lives but we are not meant to live outside of ourselves to the point where everyone and every other thing affects how we are or feel inside. For some reason, people tend to be like sheep. We follow others instead of being our own leader. Jesus referred to people as sheep a few times in His conversations. I certainly can see why. The hard thing about living in a way where we are always affected by others, is that we never really …

Christian Energy Healing: Emotional Energy Release

Energy is What Moves All Things. It’s Motion Energy is a part of God’s created universe and is a part of every living thing. The Bible tells us that there was nothing created that Jesus did not create from the beginning. Energy describes motion of what God has created.  Thousands of years ago people discovered the healing properties of moving energy in the human body. This process also can facilitate emotional release and therefore emotional healing. Our bodies were created to work as one unit; body, mind, spirit/soul. One part of us out of balance can create problems in other parts of us and keep us out of balance. A body that achieves more balance is a healthier, happier, body and therefore person. Much to the error in belief of many in the Christian faith, energy healing is not of the occult, nor is it demonic. It is only that, if it is used in that manor. In fact, there is no religion or belief system that is attached to energy healing accept that energy exists and God created it …
